Property description
This Grade II listed home should be top of your viewing list. With plenty of light and space throughout this beautifully presented house really does have everything that a growing family needs.
The large rooms all have a modern touch but still maintains the character, charm and period features, including the cast iron fireplaces. Quite simply nothing looks out of place.
If working from home is an option or you want a quiet place that your children can do their homework away from any distractions then there is a handy study.
The size of the Georgian windows throughout will take your breath away, the lounge has a lovely outlook. The kitchen and dining room flow nicely into the rear garden where you can imagine sitting on the decking whilst catching the afternoon sunshine and unwinding with a cup of tea.
The house is set close to Dover town and within touching distance of the St James regeneration project where you will be able to enjoy the latest blockbuster film, retail therapy and then finish off by tucking into some fine cuisine once completed.
Dover Castle is within walking distance along with Dover Priory railway station with its fast links to London, making it ideal if you commute or want to treat yourself to a night in the West End.
What the Owner says:
We bought the house 10 years ago, and it has been within my family for around 50 years. We carried out needed modernisation and re-furbishment throughout, while still keeping the character and original features. We are particularly pleased with uncovering the original fireplaces that had been boarded up.
We like the quiet road and proximity to the town centre and local schools.
It will be sad to leave the property but feel it is time to downsize.
