Property description
Nestled at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac is this stunning, picturesque home with a wealth of character & exuding charm. Internally this really is one to stand back and admire as there are so many features it would take pages and pages to list them all. Step into the hall, the grandeur is apparent from here and is as imposing as any you will see. From here you will pass through the grand stone archways and on into the lounge where you will be WOWED by the space that opens up in front of you. The open fire takes centre stage and along with the rest of the space, is illuminated by the light from the feature bay windows.
The kitchen and dining areas are like no other and continues to impress you with its abundance of charming features and is the perfect venue for hosting. The addition of a conservatory provides you with an extra reception area and has a great outlook over the garden.
En-route to the top floor you will pass the door to what is currently being used as the fourth bedroom although could be used as a study or playroom. Once on the top floor three double bedrooms await their new owners, the master benefiting from an en-suite wet room.
Outside and it’s time to marvel at the secluded rear garden. The patio area is the perfect spot for perusing morning papers or enjoying afternoon tea whilst the grass area is the perfect venue for children.
With parking always at a premium why not leave the car on the drive, which is large enough for 4-5 vehicles, and take a short walk to the town or station.
What the Owner says:
When we first saw the property some 30 years ago it needed almost gutting but yet the character and charm still shon through and won us over. Over the years it has become a real labour of love and we have spent a lot of time and effort in restoring all the original features of the property. We have also added an extension out the front to create a hallway and toilet as well as an extra room which is currently our guest bedroom. The garden is one of our favourite parts of the house and we spend the majority of our time out there enjoying the sun and pottering around. The location is fantastic being tucked away it is so peaceful yet the town centre is within easy walking distance. We will be sad to leave the property as we really do love it here but it is now time for us to down size.
