The house is spacious and easy-to-run with a south-facing garden that is both private and a real sun trap. The village is surrounded by beautiful Dorset countryside and only about a mile and a half from the sea at Durdle Door and three miles from Lulworth Cove.Apple Tree House is named after the only remaining apple tree from the original farm's orchard, which stands in the back garden. The apples are an old English variety called Annie Elizabeth that are suitable for both cooking and eating. I have always felt very safe here and it has proved to be a great place to bring up children. There is a real community atmosphere with village life as you imagine it to be, and an outstanding village school. Now on my own, I have appreciated a good social life in the village.
