Deptford is served by National Rail and Docklands Light Railway services. The National Rail service is operated by Southeastern on the suburban Greenwich Line at Deptford railway station,[112] the oldest passenger only railway station in London,[113][114] and St Johns, as well as nearby New Cross. The DLR stations are at Deptford Bridge and Elverson Road.[115][116] Deptford station has been approved for redevelopment.
