Property description

An imposing four storey Victorian property with fantastic unobstructed sea and coastline views. Great for any railway enthusiasts!

Dawlish is a town and civil parish in Teignbridge on the south coast of Devon in England, 12 miles (19 km) from the county town of Exeter. During the 18th century, it grew from a small fishing port to become a well-known seaside resort

Dawlish is located at the outlet of a small river, Dawlish Water (also called The Brook), between red sandstone cliffs, and is fronted by a sandy beach with the South Devon Railway sea wall and the Riviera Line railway above. Behind this is a central public park, The Lawn, through which Dawlish Water flows

Immediately to the south-west of Dawlish is a headland, Lea Mount, with Boat Cove at its foot and Coryton Cove, the furthest part of the beach accessible by the seawall path, behind it. To the north-east, via the beach or seawall, the coast can be followed some 2 km to Langstone Rock and the resort of Dawlish Warren beyond, although this path is blocked at extreme high water

Dawlish has a large town boasting plenty of local amenities and facilities including plenty of shops, Hospital, Dawlish Museum, the Shaftsbury Theatre, lots of sporting facilities including a swimming pool, various clubs and 2 bowling greens. There are lots of fine pubs and eateries to choose from

Transport links from the town are excellent

This property is an imposing four storey Victorian family home only a short walk from the town. There is a huge amount of space and versitility for families of all sizes. The property could easily cater for extended style families due to its size and style

The best feature of this particluar property is by far the unobstructed sea views. From all three reception rooms there are views over the railway line and out to sea. The views reach over to the red rocks of Dawlish and Dawlish Warren and across the estaury to Exmouth and beyond. The photos do not do the views the justice they deserve! The views will not disappoint!

The property has undergone some modernistation with paintwork being brought back to neutral colours and white woodwork plus new carpets to compliment

A mixture of gas central heating and electric heating. Double glazing throughout

Two patio gardens - one to the front off the front door and one to the rear off the main lounge. Small garden at the rear with access right down to the railway line. Great for those railway enthusiasts

The ground floor accommodation comprises:

Entrance hallway with staircases to the lower ground floor and up to the first floor

Good sized kitchen, freshly painted, with a good range of wall and floor units. Space and plumbing for appliances. Plenty of room for table and chairs

Large double bedroom with sea views over to Exmouth

Double bedroom, with new carpets, with outlook over the nearby Community United Methodist Church

The lower ground floor accommodation comprises:

Hallway with stairs down to the basement level and doors leading to

Double bedroom, freshly painted and new carpets, with built in wardrobes and dressing table area. This room benefits from an en suite which has new lino

The basement accommodation comprises:

Third reception room or further bedroom. Lovely size with outlook over the garden and railway line and out to sea. Feature fireplace and storage cupboard. Back door to the lawn and paved small garden which would be easy to maintain
