What the Owner says:

My mother has owned the cottage for 40 years; the home and grounds have been her pride and joy. She has been blissfully happy here and always said moving to Smarden was the best thing she ever did! The garden is a constant joy and so peaceful in the summer. Our family have great memories; diving into the pond, croquet on the lawns, camping out in summer and barbeques enough to feed an army. My mother opened up the garden every year for the annual Smarden garden safari and spent hours making sure that the surroundings were perfect for her guests. She was a formidable hostess and her dinner parties were something of a legend. The house is perfect for entertaining, perfect backdrop and the seamless flow and character of the building.
