Property description
Set on an attractive country lane in the popular Stone Hill area of Sellindge, you will find this pretty character home nestled within large gardens which abut both the lane and fields to the rear. This home is certainly ideal if you love to ramble through the countryside. Whilst this home is rural, Sellindge is a well supported village with an active village hall, shop, doctor's surgery, sports club and a great primary school.
This home offers a wealth of Bohemian charm and is very versatile. Straight ahead, branching off from the main hallway, there is a sitting room, two bedrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs) and a bathroom which would make a great annexe.
The country style kitchen/breakfast area, complete with a Rayburn, is the perfect place to bake pies or make jam from the fruit trees in the garden. You can picture yourself popping out into the garden through the French doors to pick fresh herbs or just sitting around the kitchen table with a friend and a cuppa. The dining hall, with vaulted ceiling is nearby and would be great for more formal dinners.
The large lounge/dining room is bright and airy with two sets of doors that lead out into the sun room. This is a family area which you can enjoy all year round. You can snuggle on the sofa with a good book during the winter or bask in the warmth of the sun room and look out over the garden.
What the Owner says:
We bought our home 16 years ago and we instantly fell in love with the character of the place and were surprised by the amount of space it had to offer. We knew from that first visit that this was the home for us.
Our home has seen many family gatherings over the years and it has been especially great at Christmas and during the summer for barbeques and parties.
Sadly we have decided to downsize and move on as it is just the two of us and, as we are that bit older now, the gardens have become a little too much for us to look after.
