Property description

Do you need a home with maximum flexibility? We believe this charming one will entice you and fulfil every wish a growing family could possibly ask for. The surprisingly spacious home is in one of the most desirable and convenient locations in Saltdean.

You will feel the openness of the ground floor as the light seems to pass from one end to the other, so say goodbye to gloomy days in! The charm is furthered by wood flooring throughout the majority of the ground floor. The generous kitchen with its many storage options and work surfaces leads into a dining room with the added bonus of French doors. Step outside to the garden, immaculately kept by the present owners, where many a gathering has taken place over the years!

“But what about the Annex?” I hear you ask. Well, the garage was converted a few years ago into self-contained accommodation with a studio room and wet room. Having its own entrance means it’s perfect for achieving some additional income through rental, or for a young adult looking for their own space.

Saltdean itself is under five miles away from Brighton and can be reached by car or bus in under twenty minutes. The area boasts many different shops, a carvery, pubs, and has the bonus of the Saltdean Lido, originally built in the 1938 but currently undergoing mass renovations, with a target completion of mid-2017. The beach is only a short distance away, as are walkways from there all the way to Brighton Marina.

What the Owner says:

We moved here 18 years ago from central Brighton. We loved the space, open road and quietness of the area, a far cry from where we were! It has been a better quality of life for us to bring up our two children.
We have take advantage of the fact we are ten minutes from both the beach and countryside. One of the many pleasures of living here is being able to stroll down to Rottingdean for a pint in any of the many pubs.
The house itself is brilliant for entertaining as the large kitchen and living room both back onto the garden via French doors. The has made for some great summers.
We no longer need such a big house as it is just the two of us, but we take away lots of happy memories here.
