We are moving to live nearer our family but if we were able to just pick our home up and move it to Yorkshire, we would. During the time we have been here it has provided everything we need. Most of the time the only thing we hear are the birds as it is so peaceful, with lovely rural surroundings, yet we are within easy reach of the seaside towns of Birchington, Ramsgate and Broadstairs and it is only a short drive to several large supermarkets and Westwood Cross, with its range of well-known restaurants, high-street retailers and multi-screen cinema complex.
If we don’t want to drive we can always walk to the Jolly Farmer pub – the hub of our village. Manston is a very friendly community with an active village hall and a park with a children’s playground, playing fields and a dedicated dog exercise area. It is delightful being so close to the golf range and the adventure golf for the kids and we are not far from the championship golf courses of Royal St. George’s at Sandwich and a number of other golf clubs for enthusiastic golfers or the Pegwell Nature Reserve if you enjoy walking and wildlife.
