Property description
Pull into the crunchy gravel driveway, and step into your own piece of Kent countryside, with this wonderful Oast house. Surrounded by far-reaching views and farm land, this gem of a home is a perfect country retreat or as a primary residence for high pressured city workers needing a much needed escape to a quieter life.
This unique property has been beautifully refurbished and extended by the current owners using the highest quality materials, with a style that is sympathetic to the age and style of the home with a modern twist and luxury finishes.
The sizable kitchen/breakfast area is beautifully framed by views over the countryside, admired through large window formations and patio doors allowing access to the front garden.
The wow factor continues with a charming wood burning stove, encased by a traditional surround within the roundel in the lounge. From the dining room you have dual aspect patio doors which allow you to explore the individual seating areas within the garden.
With three reception rooms and four bedrooms this property is perfectly balanced allowing flexibility and the option to adapt the space as you and your family require.
Wake up in the master suite and use the connecting room as your dressing area with access to the en-suite. Spend the day in the garden lounging by the pond or entertaining friends in the secret patio garden. Relax in the privacy and seclusion and admire the stunning property you call home.
What the Owner says:
We have loved living in this idyllic retreat in the Kent countryside. Over the years we have completely refurbished the house making the most of the cottage features and adding our own style and modern twist.
It's been a wonderful family home and great for friends to stay – everyone says what a lovely place it is, in a great location surrounded by fields. The garden is home to a wide range of wildlife including kingfishers, chaffinches and a long term resident family of moorhens on the pond.
We are constantly going back and forth to London and have found the train from either Staplehurst or Headcorn is quick and efficient and best of all we always get a seat!
