Gurney Slade is a popular and typical Mendip village which has a range of facilities including a village store incorporating a post office and two public houses. The village is linked to the neighbouring village of Binegar for administrative purposes. Shepton Mallet has many facilities including shops, a weekly farmers market, designer outlet village, sports centre plus benefiting from a new hospital. Further afield the Cities of Wells, Bath and Bristol are all within commuting distance and offer a wide range of facilities.
