Property description

Set in an enviable postcode is this charming cottage with plenty of added extras in terms of rooms and space. Pull up and take advantage of plenty of off road parking, let alone the spacious double garage.

Once inside the home there are plenty of original features balanced by the newer additions such as the conservatory and the re-fitted kitchen/breakfast room.

The lounge and dining room retain the original beams and have many stories to tell. The roaring open fire in the lounge is great at taking the chill off bones post countryside stroll.

The layout of the kitchen/breakfast room is great for larger families or for entertaining. Children can sit patiently at the breakfast bar or breakfast table. With dinner bubbling away on the Rayburn you could feel like you're down at River Cottage. Plenty of unit space is bathed in natural light courtesy of plenty of windows.

The conservatory enjoys an uninterrupted view of the immaculate, secluded garden. The outfield at Lords is given a run for it's money by the lawn here.

The bedrooms on the first floor are all impressive sizes. The fourth being used as a study. An en-suite prevents any early-morning dramas.

Above the double garage is a self-contained bedroom with bathroom and kitchenette. Great for older children or maybe a relative if needs be.

The village centre still has enough to be considered a village and can be reached in a short walk. Links in terms of road and trains from here are great.

What the Owner says:

We lived in the area and had always been intrigued by the building (it was formally three cottages).

On moving in we went about converting the property in to one family home which has served us very well for almost 40 years!

We added the double garage and added the room and bathroom on top: this was always well used by our children and their friends when they were in their teens.

We'll miss the village and the position as well as the memories in the house.
