Low Laithe is a hamlet of around thirty houses and a pub, situated between the village of Summerbridge and the town of Pateley Bridge, about 10 miles to the West of Harrogate. Summerbridge has a primary school, village shop, a butcher's shop, car mechanic's garage, petrol station, hardware shop, a cafe, fish and chip shop and two pubs. The town of Pateley Bridge has secondary schooling and a wide range of shops and amenities. The area has some exceptional outdoor activities and sights to offer, including those at Studley Royal, Gouthwaite Reservoir, Brimham Rocks and Fountains Abbey.
