Property description
Looking for a beautiful country home that you can simply move into and enjoy?
Nestled along a gravel path, in the heart of the Wealden village of Staplehurst, this mews house is a stone’s throw from all the amenities of the village. Yet it sits within a peaceful courtyard that feels a world away from the A-road you just left.
You’ll love cooking in the new, fitted kitchen area, complete with its solid wood worktops and Fired Earth tiles, before taking your seat to dine with friends and family in the spacious lounge/dining room. An additional room offers a number of uses; a study for the home-based worker, a games room for the family, or even a third bedroom.
The two bedrooms upstairs are both a good size, with the high ceilings delivering acres of light through the stunning sash windows. Bedroom 1 is completed with a modern day en suite shower room. Meanwhile, your guests can relax and take their time in their own classically-styled bathroom, furnished with a generous, deep bath tub and tear-drop shower.
The French doors from the lounge/dining room invite you out to the charming, sunny garden with a rose archway opening out to established boarders, rockery, and pond. Tend the earth in the dedicated vegetable garden with its raised beds and greenhouse, or just take it easy and enjoy a drink on the circular patio.
What the Owner says:
As a new-build inside, we loved taking a blank canvas and turning it into a home with real character. We’ve tried to make the very best use of the space with some practical design choices and timeless looks.
The location is perfect for grabbing a pint of milk from the shops, or maybe enjoying a meal in Cranbrook. And for work, we’re just a short walk from the train station. You have all this on your doorstep but at the same time, it’s so lovely and quiet.
We’ve had such a great time living here and we shall miss it terribly. We hope its new family will create as many happy memories here as we have.
