Property description
Conjure up an image of a beautiful Kentish cottage, sympathetically restored to offer everything you need in a modern home yet packed with the history and charm of times past. There is no need to imagine here as “Brook Cottage” has it all and has to be seen to fully appreciate the perfect balance of old Kentish country style and immaculate modern interior.
Step out of your back door on to the cleverly placed patio and admire your beautiful garden with stunning views of the countryside beyond. With the kitchen area thoughtfully positioned to the rear, providing access to the back garden, you are close to both the fresh country air and the fridge! Pour yourself a glass of wine and spend the evenings relaxing in complete privacy – bliss!!
If you are looking for a space to call your own, perhaps a man cave or a teenage den, the summer house is ideal as it is currently kitted out as another living room, fully insulated and with electrics.
Internally the accommodation is split over three floors and the bedrooms are of a fantastic size and once again offer beautiful views from every window. The ground floor rooms have a lovely open plan feel so are perfect for entertaining.
Parking can be found to the side of the property and provides enough space for two to three cars which is a must- have requirement for most modern families.
What the Owner says:
I love the location of my home and that was one of the selling points for me when I bought Brook Cottage. Marden is a five minute drive and Staplehurst and Paddock Wood are within ten minutes which is perfect when going back and forth via train to London. The garden was also a huge selling point as it was bigger than any others I had seen and is completely private with beautiful views. In the morning it is such a luxury to pull back the curtains and look out across fields - what a lovely start to each day! I like entertaining and have a dining table that can accommodate eight for dinner and of course three bedrooms to allow people to stay, but as an extra the summer house is perfect as it is heated, insulated and I even have a sofa bed and television set up!
