Property description

A house with everything on your doorstep and close to the train station? If ever there was a home perfect for a commuting family looking to be in the heart of Lewes, this is very close.

You will be amazed by the space that this house has to offer. The lounge and dining areas have been combined since the house was originally built at the turn of last century. The kitchen is now of a great size and comes complete with a breakfast bar. Imagine having coffee and reading the paper here before work, which will be easy to get to if you commute, as the station is only a short walk away. There is an open fireplace here too and you can imagine gathering the family around to settling down and watch your favourite TV show.

It is rare for a house in this area to have both bath and separate shower in the bathroom, so this really is a bonus. Along with the loft having been converted into a third bedroom some years ago. With this layout you can see everyone can have their own private, peaceful room, yet all come together in the living space.

A short walk from the property is the vibrant Cliffe High Street, offering a variety of restaurants, coffee shops and independent retailers. Why not visit the John Harvey Brewery, the oldest independent brewery in Sussex, having originally opened its doors in 1890.

What the Owner says:

My partner and I moved to Lewes, not only for the physical beauty of the town and its surroundings, but for a good school for our children.
After a year's rental, we were recommended Morris Road and we bought this house soon after. We have loved living in this quiet neighbourly little enclave, where children can play safely and the spirit of community is so strong. It's right in the middle of things here and the house itself feels light and spacious with a sun-trap of a garden, now ripe for a make-over.
With there being just the two of us remaining, it's time to downsize but we leave Morris Road - and this home - with much regret.
