Property description

This fantastic family home is only a short stroll from Hythe town centre with its array of local independent shops; perfect for stopping for a cup of coffee or window shopping after you have taken the kids to the nearby school. This home is also close to the Royal Military Canal where to can amble for miles along the canal bank and take in the sights and sounds of the local wildlife.

From the moment you walk up the footpath you will begin to appreciate the character this home has to offer. The large bay windows have been double glazed and they still have the identical stained glass window tops which are a huge feature of the entire terrace, as well as the attractive pointed oriel style window.

The open plan lounge makes this whole room feel airy and allows the light from the bay window to pour in, creating a pleasant atmosphere to sit in and relax at the end of a busy day. There is a separate dining room with doors that lead out into a wooden conservatory. This is ideal if you like entertaining as you can nip in from the garden should rain interrupt your barbeque.

The rear garden is low maintenance with a synthetic lawn and easy to look after borders. There is plenty of storage as, in addition to the loft space, there is also a really useful outbuilding which you could use as a workshop or shed.

What the Owner says:

When I first saw this home I was struck by how pretty the terraced row was. This was a great family home with plenty of room for everyone.

The possibility exists for you to extend this home if you wanted to, as other homes in the row have had extensions added. Of course, this would all be subject to you getting the necessary planning consents.

We used to park the car around the back of the house on a hard standing. However, as I do not drive, I covered the hard standing with the synthetic lawn and moved the fence to make the garden larger. I really enjoy sitting outside as the garden can be a real sun trap.
