SPREYTON is one of the areas most picturesque villages situated some 4 miles from Bow and 4 miles from Whiddon Down and access to the A30 dual carriageway to Exeter and Okehampton.  The village is best known for its famous old inn, The Tom Cobley Tavern.  It has a garage, primary school and historic parish church.

DIRECTIONS FROM CREDITON    Proceed to Bow (about 8 miles). When in the centre of the village turn left at Bow Village Cross (signed to Spreyton).  Follow this road out of the village continuing for about a mile, proceed under a railway bridge and turn left signposted Hillerton just before a sharp right hand bend.  Proceed on this road for about 2 miles. At Hillerton crossroads turn right, follow the lane for just under half a mile, and the private driveway to the barn will be seen on the right hand side.  

DIRECTIONS FROM THE A30 (EXETER TO OKEHAMPTON ROAD)   Leave the A30 dual carriageway at Merrymeet Roundabout by the A382 signed to Moretonhampstead.  After approximately half a mile, in the centre of the village of Whiddon Down, turn right where signed to North Tawton.  Follow this road for about a mile and immediately after crossing over the A30, turn right where signed to Spreyton.  Proceed through Spreyton, taking the first right after approximately half a mile, signposted Hillerton and proceed for a further half a mile.  The private driveway to the barns will be seen on the left hand side, just past the entrances to Bowbeer Farm.
