Property description
Quite often you will hear people talk about the importance of location when choosing the right property. When the current owners purchased this property back in 2007, it was all about the location.
Situated towards the end of a quiet tree lined cul-de-sac, away from the hustle and bustle of any main roads they immediately fell in love with the leafy surroundings that Woodmansterne had to offer.
They could walk endlessly over miles of gorgeous countryside in this area of outstanding natural beauty, and with the children’s education in mind both Woodmansterne and Chipstead Valley infant and junior schools were within walking distance for them.
The village of Woodmansterne has shops, takeaways, newsagents, hairdressers a pub a post office.
The property is a 1930’s semi detached family home that has been recently redecorated to provide a fresh and neutral look. The bay window to the lounge area floods the downstairs with light, for a bright and airy feel. There is the potential to fit a fireplace to the existing chimney breast to provide a focal point in the future.
Outside, the garage is located to the rear, accessed via a shared driveway. With the garden being fairly level, there is a decking area for entertaining your guests on those long summer evenings.
What the Owner says:
This is a great house to raise a family in. It’s a safe area with a rural village feel, yet accessible to everything you need. We often take the children to the recreation ground just down the road at Lakers Rise to let off some steam. You can also walk to Woodmansterne or Chipstead station to catch a train into town.
We have fitted engineered oak veneer flooring to the ground floor and re modelled the layout to provide a separate lounge area and a more usable kitchen/dining area.
The conservatory is great, adding a significant amount of extra living space to the home and is great as a play room for the children.
