Property description
Quintessential country living, charmingly encompassed, in as pretty as a picture period cottage. With gardens that seem to go on forever, to the edge of rolling fields with views of open countryside and beyond, this is the idyllic rural retreat
Come and see for yourself how this beautifully presented home unfolds. From the comfort of the lounge, with its pretty bay window seat from where you can watch the world go by, to the dining room with its traditional fireplace, ensuring warm and cosy winter nights. Or the bright, fully equipped modern kitchen, where you’re sure to sit with friends to share afternoon tea as you take in the views over your garden – this home has it all.
Period styling, with added modern twists that take you completely by surprise.
Upstairs, admire the sheer simplicity of the sleek bathroom design. Soak away the day’s toils in the deep, freestanding, claw-foot bath, or when time is tight, a speedy shower in the separate cubicle before heading off for a night of well earned rest.
Outside is a garden lover’s dream. There is space for the green fingered to create a vegetable patch among the flower and shrub borders, not to mention ample lawn for when your little ones want to celebrate their birthdays with a bouncy blow-up castle!
What the Owner says:
The house, which was built in 1908, fulfilled all our needs and wants when we moved from the Lake District to Kent. As it is on the edge of the village, we not only have easy access to countryside walks, but the house is not overlooked and backs onto fields too. There are three different varieties of apple trees at the bottom of the garden.
At the same time, we are only 1 mile from the station (50 minutes to London Bridge) and only 4 miles from Cranbrook School.
We have enjoyed living in this house for 17 years, but now that the children have flown the nest, it is time to move on, though we will be sad to leave the house
And our friendly and helpful neighbours.
