Property description
This character home dates back to the early 1900's and sympathetically combines many Victorian features such as fireplaces, wooden floors, panelled doors etc with modern day facilities such as an excellent living kitchen area with built-in appliances and under-floor heating as well as parking for one car, potentially two/three cars.
The position is superb as it is only a short walk away from Reigate town centre and mainline train station to London, as well as being in 'the' school catchment area which is a must for any current or future family.
As soon as you walk through the front door this house has an instant welcoming aura, which can only be seen by visiting the property. The rooms are light, airy and spacious and ideal for a growing family as there is a good size lounge and the 'must have' living/kitchen area, with clearly defined kitchen, dining, study and sitting area. If you like to keep cleaning and laundry separate then there is a fantastic utility room which even has enough space to accommodate the dog or the cat.
One of the big features is the ability to throw open the doors within the living/kitchen area which leads straight onto the garden which is laid for ease of management with tiered garden and decking area which is ideal for children to play in as well as for those people who enjoy al fresco entertaining.
* Chain break available via part exchange for a 2 bedroom apartment in Reigate/Redhill
What the Owner says:
This was our first family home and our boys have grown up in this house, both attending Holmesdale School, with the eldest now being offered a place at Reigate Priory School. It has been great for them growing up surrounded by classmates and we have made some great friends 'on the lane'.
The house has been an ideal location for us, combining proximity to the town centre and station with the benefit of being almost exactly equidistant to Holmesdale and Priory Schools.
Our reason for moving? We are looking for an extra bedroom and space for distant parents who need to stay when they visit.
