Property description

Ever wondered what it would be like to wake up in the morning to the sight of Leith Hill in the distance or beautiful National Trust land out the window? Well this remarkable family home can soon make that a reality. Having been extended in the past, this property encapsulates family life with ease and the location can only be described as stunning! If you enjoy cosy evenings in front of a roaring log burner then the immaculate lounge will be right up your street. With a fabulous view out of the bay window, you may find yourself spending your time gazing out at the outlook for ages. If entertaining is more your thing then you will love the fantastic kitchen and dining areas. With beautiful units and plenty of worktop space, the entire space is sociable and great for get-togethers. On those colder evenings, you can fire up the log burner in here too and keep your guests warm in style. When you find yourself with a house full, there is room for everyone to stay upstairs but there may be fights over who gets the best bedroom for views! For that well earned soak you can escape to the stylish bathroom where you can you enjoy some much needed quiet time. Outside, the kids can tire themselves out in the garden whilst you set up the barbecue and table and chairs on the patio and chat until the sun goes down. You can even set up a hot tub like the current owners have. The outside office/studio is great for anyone that works from home and would also make a great playroom for the kids too.

What the Owner says:

We moved here over 20 years ago and for us it was all about the location. We loved the fact that it was off the beaten track and although we had no children then, we saw it as the ideal place to raise a family. The house itself needed everything doing to it, but we could see past all of that and really saw the potential it offered. Over the years we have completely transformed it and extended it too, which in itself enabled us to start a family and stay here for as long as we have. We have replaced the kitchen and bathroom and redecorated throughout including fitting new carpets last year. We also built the garage/office in the garden which has been ideal for working from home. We are now taking the next step up the ladder and hope the next family will be happy here.
