As soon as we stepped through the door, we knew this was home. The peaceful position, gorgeous views and huge potential meant we couldn't leave without making an offer. The house needed a little updating so we've put in a new kitchen, new bathroom, new boiler and re-landscaped the garden. The pub quizzes at the local village hall are a great way of pulling the community together, and every family within the close keeps an eye out for one another. We added the outbuilding to create additional storage space, but also to give our teenage son space to have his own area - the only challenge is getting him back in the house for dinner! We are sad to be leaving but we're excited for our new adventure - we're heading to Wales to take over a smallholding and can't wait!
