Property description
What a gem of a property! Tucked away off the road, this house not only commands your attention from the outside but it only gets better as you step inside.
Whilst the house feels modern with neutral decoration, the abundance of original features really enhances the whole feel of the property. With many individually designed cast iron fireplaces, there are plenty of focal points. Even the double glazed Georgian style windows are very pleasing to the eye and with a beautiful square bay to the lounge, it really makes for a stunning room.
You can imagine sitting round the open fire reading a newspaper relaxing on a Sunday afternoon. The kitchen/diner is warm and inviting and you are bound to spend plenty of time out here chatting with friends over a coffee. There is plenty of room to have a large dining table so if you enjoy entertaining, you'll be in your element here.
Looking on out to the back garden, you are struck by the amount of greenery around you. The position of the house means that your views go across an expanse of gardens. You would hardly believe that you are in the centre of town. That coupled with the peace and quiet make this beautiful home a very attractive proposition.
By foot, you can walk to Ashford International station in about 15 minutes, the town centre is only a few minutes way. You'll be hard pushed to get a better location.
What the Owner says:
When we were looking to buy this house, I really wanted to be central so that my son and daughter could walk to school. We had looked at other period properties but the roads were busy and so when we came across this, even before entering the house, we had a really good feel about the place.
As soon as we stepped in the door, it felt right. The layout was functional and it had plenty of character. I fell in love with the kitchen/diner and this has really been the hub of the house where we get together as a family. Given the house has all been renovated, it's makes it an easy home to maintain. This house has been a great family home and for children wanting to gain some independence.
