This has been a great place to live for us, we did a lot of work to create a nice light open space which has served us very well both as a young carefree working couple and now with two young children. We were attracted by the location, close to the coast and rural which we wanted with lots of great walks on our doorstep, but close enough to Dorchester and Weymouth for town when we needed. Great transport links were also a key factor, both being from Wales, it is only an hour drive to M5 and 2 hours from Wales but also still only 40 minutes to Poole which we commuted for 10 years, and working in London often, the stations close by with free parking and 2 hours to Waterloo were also attractive. It's a friendly village with shop, pub, park, well regarded school for our children all within 5 minutes walk, the charlmont cross properties around the courtyard give a nice sense of community but also privacy if you want it. We look forward to giving someone else the opportunity to enjoy it here as much as we have.
