Cottage includes the following; sitting room, dining room, kitchen, downstairs W.C. and utiltiy area, family bathroom, gardens and parking. N.B. The gardens are opposite the cottage on the other side of a no-through lane. My husband and I were looking ,some 28 years ago for a home to downsize to and Tuggys Cottage presented the perfect solution. The house offered everything we could want from a manageable home without compromising on space. I will admit that as soon as I approached the cottage I knew I wanted to live here, I hadnt even looked inside the house at that point! 28 years later it has been such a wonderful home for us and we will miss it dearly, says Mary. "The cottage is the perfect retirement home. We created a two storey extension which blends seamlessly with the original structure and allows for a large, light kitchen. The house is charming inside and out and is very sunny, I regularly find myself sitting in an armchair upstairs , looking out of the window at the magnificent views. It is an easy house, set within a beautiful location. It has been perfect for the travelling we have undertaken in the past few years. The cottage is located down a no through road and so you can easily lock up and leave the entire home safe in the knowledge it will be waiting for you when you return. The garden is a stunning space with wonderful views that stretch across to Wells and the open countryside. Our garden is full of life with fruit trees, flower beds, raised vegetable bed and a rose bed. The garden is also home to a summer house which has been a great extension of our home. The summer house is spacious with a small kitchen, a toilet and a large sitting room, we regularly entertain in there. We live in the summer house more than the cottage in the summer months and our grandchildren adore camping out there. We have incredibly fond memories of the grounds as we hosted our daughters wedding and my 70th birthday party each being held in a marquee on the lawn, continues Mary. We are very lucky for benefit from excellent public transport to Bath city centre. There is a regular bus service every hour and Bath is overflowing with charm and history. The house is also a short walk away from the post office which provides day to day groceries, two excellent pubs, a garage, an active church and an excellent cricket club which my husband still regularly supports. There is plenty here to please people of all ages. Everyone who visits the cottage adores it! It would be the perfect property for a keen gardener who is looking to make the most of their retirement, or a family. concludes Mary.
