We’d been looking at flats in Brighton and were amazed at how much more we could get for our money by being just a little out of town. It has a cottagey feel about it and it has lots of character with working fireplaces, the mahogany banister rail and wooden floors. We’ve always found the rooms to be really good sizes and there’s a lot of room for storage. Whenever any repairs or improvements have been required we have always done them immediately. In recent years we have carried out redecoration, updated the bathroom and replaced the porch roof. If you want to get to town it’s so easy with the 21, 2 and 22 buses but we often take a stroll into town. It’s such a relaxing walk on a sunny day or just as easy to go for a stroll in the Downs right on your doorstep!
