Within the vicinity is a caravan park, a holiday chalet park, numerous self-catering homes, bed and breakfasts which all draw in business to the Service Station. Excellent schooling is available with a Primary School located in the village and Secondary schooling provided at Gairloch which is only a 30 minute bus ride away. A school bus runs during term time. Gairloch also has a wide range of other community facilities including a choice of shops and a medical centre, however the proprietors attend the Torridon Medical Practice, located in the Village of Torridon about 10 miles away.
