Property description

This home still has a wealth of 1930’s features and as such retains a lot of the character and charm which you would expect from a house of this era. Large bay windows that will fill the lounge with light are complimented by the original panelled doors and woodwork, such as the chunky skirting boards, giving a taste of themes of the period. The addition of a modern conservatory gives you an extra space to be used to suit your needs, perhaps somewhere to sit in the evenings, or maybe a study space? This will allow for the generous dining area to be dedicated to family dinner time.

The low maintenance rear garden is a real suntrap and with its patio area you can set up the garden table and chairs as soon as you move it, sit back, relax and pour a glass of something cold. There is actually a bit more to the garden then initially meets the eye, with an extra strip running down the side of the current fence, which could have more made of it in the future. This road is very easy for parking, but that is not a concern at all for this particular house anyway with its driveway and garage at the rear.

You might be surprised to find a detached property in a road where semi detached are more common and there is an interesting tale as to why, the neighbouring house was long ago removed to allow for the next road to be developed! Being detached gives you privacy many families will enjoy and that many of us aim for when searching for our next home.

What the Owner says:

We have lived here for over thirteen years now and it has really been the perfect home for our family. We moved here as we wanted to be central for the local schools for our children and from here they were able to walk there in the mornings. Being detached is brilliant, we would never go back to a terrace, or semi-detached house after the privacy we have had here and that is now a main criteria for our next move!

We are moving to a new area as our family have now grown up and are flying the nest, but we will have very fond memories of this property and hope that the next family loves it just as much as we have.
