Property description
Set amongst the rolling Kent countryside in a delightful semi rural location stands this magnificent semi detached oast house which dates back, we understand, to the mid 1800's. The current owners added a superb garden room in 2002 which has proven to be a wonderful place to relax in and enjoy views across established gardens.
You cannot fail to be impressed when you first see the property which provides versatile accommodation with an attractive country style kitchen area that opens onto a large dining area where you can entertain family and friends and still be involved in all the conversation whilst preparing lunch or dinner. There is potential to provide accommodation for an older relative if required by using the study as a bedroom, there is a bathroom next door making this very practical. The spacious lounge is located on the first floor with windows providing delightful views across the orchards that are set at the back of this home.
Outside, the attractive garden is full of mature planting and, during the summer months, is exceptionally colourful. There are hidden gems and spaces to be able to grow your own fruit and vegetables and the gardens are a real haven for wildlife.
The exceptional space internally provides a huge amount of storage space and there is a double detached garage with additional space for several vehicles to be parked outside.
What the Owner says:
We moved here in the mid 1990's and fell in love with the property when we first walked in. It seemed a great location with a feeling of living in the countryside yet only moments away from the A2/M2 for London, Faversham and Canterbury, so it offered us the best of both worlds - the feeling of a true rural life but with easy access to excellent transport links.
We extended the property to create a lovely garden room which is a fabulous place for us to sit and watch the local bird life which we love to feed all year round. We also enjoy some wonderful walks through the orchards and open countryside which always changes with the seasons.
