Property description
If you love the idea of that period home in the country with roses round the door, then this could well be perfect for you. Even on first glance, the property entices you in and with the magnificent landscaped garden and cobbled stone pathway leading to the front door, you may already be blown away before you even step inside.
From the Georgian style windows to the stripped wood floorboards and cast iron fireplaces, you will find plenty of character in this welcoming home. With its large living space, the rooms have plenty of versatility over how you choose to use them. For anyone with a teenage son or daughter, having the separate snug/TV area could be ideal for when they have friends over or should you have elderly relatives to stay, this could make a perfect ground floor bedroom. The owners have enough space to have their own hobby rooms and with the barn style outbuilding, you can like the current owners, make as much noise as you like playing on the piano or it could even make an ideal gym! Whilst you can enjoy the country lifestyle with an abundance of good walks on your doorstep and amazing scenery from the comfort of your own home, you can take advantage of Mersham's own shops and local primary school. By car, you can join junction 10 of the M20 within a matter of minutes. Within approximately 10 minutes drive you can take advantage of using Ashford's International 38 minutes speed link into St Pancras, ideal for the daily commuter.
What the Owner says:
As soon as we set eyes on this house, we fell in love with it. We wanted a period home and a retreat in the country away from our busy work lives. Our home has been a real haven for us. We love sitting in the lounge with the log burner ablaze whilst it's cold outside. We love the kitchen as with the double aspect, it makes the best of the views and is lovely and light.
The garden really comes into its own in the summer. We are keen gardeners and have enjoyed landscaping the gardens to make the most of what we have here and with the far reaching countryside views, there is no better place to be. There is a good likelihood that the new owner could purchase the field to the rear of the property as the owner has made it known that it could be up for sale.
