Property description
In an enviable position on the edge of the village with fantastic views to Dartmoor, this 3 bedroom detached bungalow is in need of some TLC but with a double garage and plenty of internal space, is a fantastic proposition.
Rensey Lane is a no through road on the edge of the Mid-Devon village of Lapford, occupying an elevated position able to take advantage of the views out over the rolling countryside and to Dartmoor in the far distance. There are a few properties on the lane but with limited traffic, it is a lovely rural setting on the edge of village life.
On the market for only the second time since its build in the early 1980s, Arden is a detached bungalow offering spacious rooms and fantastic rural vistas from both the kitchen/dining room and the large living room. There are 3 double bedrooms, a large family bathroom, utility room and an attached double garage offering excellent space throughout. Although somewhat dated, the property offers potential to create a superb home in an enviable position. There is oil fired central heating and part double glazing.
Outside is off-road parking (leading to the garage) and secluded front and rear gardens, behind natural hedging and fencing. The gardens are mainly lawned to the front with some planted beds and to the rear, the garden faces South-West enjoying the afternoon sun, stunning views and some amazing sunsets.
DIRECTIONS From the A377 main road turn off at Lapford Cross and proceed up into the village, going past the church and the Malt Scoop Inn. Proceed up the hill, and Rensey Lane is the last turning on the left just before leaving the village. Arden will be found on the left hand side.
LAPFORD, a large parish and village, lies just north of the main A377 Exeter / Barnstaple road approximately 9 miles from Crediton and 16 miles from Exeter. The village has good amenities including inns, a primary school and a preschool with an excellent OFSTED report. On the edge of the village is a railway station and there is a regular daily bus service from the heart of the village. The parish church, St Thomas of Canterbury, is of perpendicular style and has a fine 16th century rood screen.
