| The Gardens | From the front of the cottage looking out across the garden to the large sweeping lawn you are first drawn to the wonderful rural views over the Durra valley and farmland. You then start to see all the abundance of flower beds, shrubs and mature trees that surround the cottage and gardens edge. There are Camellias, Rhododendrons, Wisteria and Magnolia to name just a few. To one side of the garden is a 30'x12' swimming pool with a pump house and changing room. From the utility room side of the property a stable door opens on to a path which leads past a greenhouse and up to a hidden garden area, ideal as a vegetable plot. This may also be an area for additional parking. The detached garage has a remote controlled electric roller door and a parking area to the front.

| Location | The Hoe has a wealth of original features and character and nestles into the landscape of this Area of outstanding natural beauty. A nearby footpath leads to Gillan creek on the waters of The Helford River. The parish of Manaccan lies south of the popular Helford River and nearby parishes include St Martins Meneage, St Anthony Meneage and St Keverne. Across the estuary lie Constantine and Mawnan. In this parish is Helford, which was originally a small trading village. From here is a ferry across to Passage House, now known as 'Helford Passage Captain Bligh of 'Mutiny on the Bounty' fame came here as a surveyor for the Admiralty. His activities prompted suspicion and he was arrested by the local people who thought he was spying for the French. Manaccan is a hillside Cornish village set in pleasant countryside with a variety of historic houses and buildings.
