The Property
Anglebeck was built in the late 1960s and is constructed of part rendered elevations covering an internal steel frame construction, with a later extension being added in the 1980's of traditional build. The bungalow forms one of two link-detached bungalows with very few neighbours in a rural position. The current vendors have taken time to craft a lovely home with immaculately presented accommodation throughout. Only by viewing Anglebeck, will you truly appreciate the quality of finish. A UPVC double glazed doorway opens out into the long hallway. By turning right, you will find yourself in the dining room which has wonderful gazing views from the wide window across open fields. The dining room then opens out into the sitting room, which is dual aspect and very well proportioned. The kitchen is formed by a selection of finished wall and base units with beech wood work surfaces over. Inset into the units is a dual bowl butler style sink, an eye-level double oven and a ceramic four ring hob cooker. The wall units are also finished to a high standard with glass display cupboards, providing further storage. The adjacent utility/breakfast room which has recently been incorporated into the kitchen space, has a further sink, plumbing for a dishwasher and plenty of space for a breakfast table & chairs. By heading back into the entrance hallway, you will find the three bedrooms, two of which are double and the family bathroom. The master bedroom is a lovely room, being dual aspect to North and West elevations. The room is light and airy with the further benefit of rolling countryside views across to Kenninghall village. The family bathroom has been refitted in recent years and comprises a stylish suite with a separate bath and shower. On entering the room, you will immediately notice the large corner shower, which is fully tiled. Around the corner is a panelled bath, hand wash basin, low level wc and a towel radiator. The loft space has recently been fully insulated and partially boarded, perfect for storage.
Outside
Anglebeck is approached from the lane via a concrete driveway which provides access up to the garage and parking for a number of vehicles. A pathway leads around the bungalow to the front doorway and continues beside the house to the rear gardens. Predominately the front gardens are laid to lawn and are of a slight incline towards the house. The rear gardens benefit massively from facing south, allowing the light to stream into the garden all day long. Contained within the garden is a oil tank, a covered terrace and personel access into the garage. Both front and rear gardens have fantastic un-interrupted views over neighbouring arable fields.
Location
Situated some seven miles to the west of Diss, Anglebeck is positioned in a rural location with few neighbouring properties. The village of Kenninghall is a popular village with two public houses, a well-stocked shop with delicatessen and post office, a doctor's surgery and primary school. The centre of the village is around a mile away which could be made on foot, walking through sublime countryside, but most would wish to take a car. The fine cathedral city of Norwich is around 25 miles away, Bury St Edmunds 20 miles and the bustling market town of Diss is just 7 miles to the east, where there is a mainline rail station on the Norwich to London Liverpool Street line. There is access to the A11 at Thetford about fourteen miles away.
Directions
From Diss head towards Thetford on the A1066. At the village of South Lopham turn right signposted North Lopham and Kenninghall. On exiting the next village of North Lopham, continue further for approximately one mile where at the S-bend in the road, turn right onto Heath Road. The property will be located further up the road, on the right hand side.
