Having spent many years living in Chestfield we could not imagine living in any other area. So when this cottage came on the market we were over the moon. Although we realised that there was a lot of work to take on we fell in love with the charm and character of it.
As the children got older they wanted their own sense of independence so the separate kitchen and shower room offered them a feeling of living in their own home (without the bills). Although we have not got building regulations for the first floor over the garage as the ceiling height is a little low in parts, my son (who is quiet tall) still utilises it as his bedroom.
