Property description
Deceptively spacious is the term for this surprising chalet-style home, located in an off-main road location within historic Capel-le-Ferne near Folkestone, Kent.
The front of this property on initial viewing does not capture what awaits those who walk over the threshold. Be immediately impressed by the size of the entrance hallway and well positioned stairs at the rear leading to the first floor accommodation. Relax in the large lounge to the front and entertain in the dining area further to the rear, off the spacious kitchen area.
Those seeking garden space will not be disappointed, with the rear garden in particular more than matching the proportions of the property in general. Sleep safe in the knowledge that the cars are off the road in the front driveway area.
A short walk will lead to the Battle of Britain Memorial Trust, the National Memorial to ‘The Few’, symbolised by the loan sitting airman looking out to sea and ‘The Few’ recorded by name on The Memorial Wall. Capel-le- Ferne, or ‘Chapel in the Ferns’ itself has a community of around 2,400 and nestles conveniently at the base of the triangle between the M20 to the West and routes to London and the A20 to the East towards Dover and links to the Continent, with cliff-top views to France just a short stroll away.
What the Owner says:
We bought here as we wanted to be out of the hustle and bustle of the busy town of Folkestone but easily accessible to the amenities and coastal lifestyle Folkestone and the surrounding areas provide. We live overseas and needed a base close to the coast that meant we can travel to London and have convenient access to mainland Europe. This home gave us all of that, and more!
Views of the sea are never far away and the coastline walks are truly wonderful, especially when the sun is out!
