Property description
This most attractive Grade II listed cottage is believed to date back to the 15th century and has been increased in size over the years. As you would expect, it offers a wealth of character features and yet the current owners have brought it right up to date in terms of modern living requirements.
One of the most eye-catching features is the stunning timber-framed dining area with its vaulted ceiling and exposed timbers. It provides the perfect space in which to entertain your guests whilst you prepare the dinner in the adjacent kitchen area. This has been tastefully refurbished with cream units complemented by granite worktops and Travertine flooring which continues through to the dining area.
As you walk into the lounge, you cannot fail to be impressed by the large inglenook fireplace with its log burner providing a cosy atmosphere, enhanced by the numerous exposed beams, latched doors and oak flooring. Upstairs, all three double bedrooms offer plenty of space and there is ample storage in the fitted cupboards and eaves area. The refurbished bathroom retains a country-style feel with its attractive roll-top bath and separate shower cubicle, whilst there is a further shower and a cloakroom on the ground floor.
Conveniently situated just outside Bramley and only 4 miles from Guildford, there is an extensive range of shops, schools and amenities within easy reach.
What the Owner says:
We absolutely love the charm and character of our cottage and it's always a pleasure to return home to, especially on a cold winter's evening when we light the fire in the log burner and enjoy its warm glow. In the summer, we enjoy sitting out on the terrace overlooking the rest of our enclosed garden which gives us a real sense of privacy. Having the attached garage is a bonus, especially as we can access it directly from inside the house.
We have done so much to our home during the last couple of years that we feel sure the new owners will appreciate everything on offer. They can simply move in and enjoy this charming cottage knowing that all the work has been done for them.
