When I was looking to move to Shanklin in 2010 I was attracted to this house because of its special character – the split-level layout, the living rooms facing the large garden, the good-sized rooms, even the quirky front door facing the back garden!
I’ve made a few changes, with a new boiler, solar panels on the roof which yield a handsome feed-in-tariff income every year, with Shanklin’s fine sunshine records. And I have added new fences and gates to the garden to keep my dog safely captive. It has suited me down to the ground.
Now, with advancing years, I feel I need to move to a smaller property but I plan to stay very much within the area.
