The views are constantly changing, always beautiful and unequalled anywhere, with many different types of life on the water - water-skiing, wind-surfing, kite-surfing and the sailing at all levels, of course, not to mention ocean-going shipping, sometimes lit up at night.

Then, of course, there are the sunsets!! A world travel writer once said that the two most beautiful places in the world to see the sun go down were somewhere in China and Gurnard Bay on the Isle of Wight - and all this for free!

Gurnard is a very active village, with lots going on. It has an incredibly well-stocked village shop, and I also have the papers and milk delivered. There is a great pub just down the road and a bus stop at the bottom of the garden.
