Property description
Imagine waking up in the village of Goudhurst, one of Kent’s prettiest. You can take a leisurely stroll through the surrounding leafy lanes at the weekend, or feed the ducks in the village pond. Sounds good, doesn’t it? Well
take a tip from us and come along to view this delightful cottage, which is full of charm and character. You can close your eyes and conjure up images of the past.
As you pull up to the house and onto your own private and spacious parking area, prepare to be surprised by the sheer kerb appeal of this lovely home. A picket fence encloses the quintessential country cottage which has its own private gardens.
In the kitchen area a fantastic inglenook fireplace housing a wood burning range (as used in "River Cottage") complements the brand new specially built kitchen with solid wood units, oak worktops and traditional butler sink. A beautiful stone floor flows through to the cosy lounge area with exposed beams and a woodburner - ideal to curl up on the sofa in front of the flames on a chilly autumn evening.
Eventually night falls and it’s time for bed. Up to one of the two beamed double bedrooms, one of which has an exposed fireplace, the other having built-in wardrobes.
A further staircase takes you up to a fantastic loft room, currently housing a freestanding slipper bath. It has ample further room for a double bed and is a hidden delight at the top of this pretty cottage.
This property is offered to the market with no onward chain and will suit any buyers timescale.
What the Owner says:
When we first viewed this property we completely fell in love with the character and charm and to find this within our favourite village we felt was perfect!! The inglenook fire, beams and gardens were such a huge selling point as well as the immaculate condition and modern decor. Due to unforeseen circumstances we are now selling the cottage with a heavy heart as it truly is our dream home but hopefully the new buyers will feel the same and love it as much as we have.
