Property description
If you crave charm, character, space and want to be positioned in the heart of Dorking town centre, then this period terrace house, arranged over four floors commands your attention!
It is not difficult to appreciate why the current owner fell in love with this house almost ten years ago. The instant you walk in the door you will feel inclined to kick off your shoes and relax in the lounge where you can put your feet up and get cosy as those colder nights draw in. When it's time to rustle up something to eat, the kitchen/diner has plenty of space to cook up a storm as well as room to sit at the table and catch up with friends and family over dinner.
On those warmer evenings you can take your meal outside and enjoy al-fresco dining in the pretty walled back garden. If guests want to stay the night they can do so with ease thanks to the surprisingly spacious layout. You could have a sofa bed down in the basement room, which is currently being used as a large study, with natural light they won't feel hard done by down here. Likewise, it would make a great playroom or hobby room. There is also plenty of room upstairs too with both the bedrooms being double in size and a brilliant large bathroom which is just the place to escape to for that well earned soak at the end of a long day!
Location wise this road is ideal for the town and commuting is a breeze from here thanks to all three stations being within walking distance.
What the Owner says:
I was immediately drawn to the feel of the house, from the way it looks on the outside to the charm and character on the inside. It was also within walking distance of my work so it suited me perfectly.
Since living here I have had a new boiler installed which in turn has meant that I don't use the log burner in the lounge anymore as the heating is just so efficient for me.
I have loved the convenience of living here and the surroundings are fantastic with St Martins Church just outside my front door and the whole ambience of the conservation area. It's also so close to everything with shops, bars and restaurants on my doorstep and Waitrose is just round the corner too.
This has been a fabulous place to live.
