Description
You enter the cottage via the front porch with whitewashed stone wall, and enter the living room through the stable style front door with lead-lined glass. The living room has a large stone chimney breast with a firebox insert and lovely oak mantle with titled hearth. There are windows looking out to the front and side of the cottage and a dado rail running round the room. You can see how thick the stone walls are by the depth of the window sills. There is also a radiator in the room.
The kitchen/breakfast room is country style with selection of wooden wall and base units. The work surfaces are made of hard wood with partially tiled walls behind. The 4 ring gas hob and electric oven are both integrated. There is space and plumbing for a washing machine behind one of the base units. A small 3 leaf table stands against the wall in the dining area of the kitchen. A stable style door leads into the back garden.
You head upstairs onto the landing with the main bedroom to your front. The room has a head-lined window looking out to the side of the cottage and full wall width fitted wardrobes. There is a small period fireplace in the wall on the near side of the room and a fitted dresser in the alcove beside the chimney breast.
The bathroom is along the landing towards the back of the house on your left. There is a wood panelled bath with mains connected shower above, pedestal basin and low level WC. The ceiling height above the shower is low.
The second double bedroom is at the back of the cottage with windows that look out over the back garden. The cottage has gas central heating throughout.
The south facing back garden is walled on one side and fenced on the other. There is a lawned area with mature apple tree and a garden shed sitting towards the back of the garden. A planting border runs alongside the boundary wall and another planning border sits against the back fence. A gate provides rear access to the garden and cottage. A sun trap patio area also sits at the rear of the cottage.
Directions
Traveling out of Bath along the A4 towards Bristol you will reach the Globe roundabout. Take the second exit onto the A39 signposted Burnett Business Park. Carry on along the A39 past the entrance to Bath Spa University. There is a small layby on your left just after you enter Corston and the entrance to the terrace of cottages is here.
