Property description

If you're looking for a beautiful home that offers a great cosy feel then this is the one for you. Built circa 1931, and full of character the original owners had kept the house in the family right up to 5 years ago when the current owners took possession of it.

The house itself still holds many original features including a working larder with air brick and cold slab! All of the doors are original as well as the working fireplaces; lovely to light up on a dark cold night and enjoy the flickering fire.

The kitchen offers lots of space to cook up a family meal and the centre piece would be your very own, Esse wood burning Range cooker with back boiler. There is an electric hob and immersion that can be used when the Esse is not lit for cooking, hot water and some radiators. Furthermore, the current owners are happy to leave the lucky buyer a years supply of wood! Once you are ready to sit back and relax the lounge is the perfect place to catch up with the family.

Moving upstairs and you'll find two good sized bedrooms and a family bathroom while outside to the front stands a mature front garden with a range of plants and flowers. The outside space at the rear however is the one that really stands out as gardens of this size don't become available very often. This is a really great place for relaxing with family and friends or a place where the children can play to their hearts content. In conclusion, a wonderful opportunity to acquire a character property in all its glory!

What the Owner says:

We have lived here for 5 years now and enjoyed everything the house and area has to offer. Living up here it s a real mini community with the 6 cottages and it really feels like stepping back in time with the kids all playing with each other in any of the gardens in their own little world.
We have re vamped our house by installing a new kitchen, bathroom and re-wired the whole house and fitted our wood burning stove to name just a few.
We enjoy walking to the village and out across the fields with our dog, even a sneaky trip to the village pub on the odd weekend. We are now moving to the west country but hope the new owners enjoy our home as much as we have.
