Bon Accord Square is one of Aberdeen's civic squares built in the 1820's on the design of Archibald Simpson. The area is laid out for the "Tailor Craft" of the incorporated trades and indeed Archibald Simpson built numbers 13 and 15 Bon Accord Square for himself and his brother later purchasing number 1 East Craibstone Street where he died in 1847.
