Property description
This substantial Victorian house was built in the latter part of the 19th Century by the wealthy George Taylor as his own home. Much later in the 20th Century, this mansion was then converted into separate apartments, all of them with great stately proportions.
The setting is superb, as you look out of every window you are greeted with views over the communal gardens, fields and countryside, all being very private yet accessible to the M25 leading to all major conurbations. It is also only a short distance away from Reigate town centre and mainline train station plus a short drive from Gatwick Airport and further afield to Heathrow Airport.
The proportions of this apartment are great with a large entrance hall and spacious lounge with a feature fireplace and large picture window. The property has been maintained to a high standard by the present owner, however also presents a blank canvas to apply your own stamp in terms of kitchen, bathroom and floor covering.
Outside, there is a large sweeping gravel driveway providing communal parking for numerous cars as well as there being a garage.
What the Owner says:
I really love this apartment and was initially attracted to the property due to its sweeping road leading up to a large gravel driveway and the impressive period facade.
Once inside all the proportions from the communal staircase into the flat typify a large Victorian mansion house. However once I moved in I have not looked back since and have really enjoyed living here in this tranquil settings, superb views and on many days deer are found walking through the garden.
The property may sound like a little oasis - it is! However it is so convenient where I can just hop in the car and get straight onto the motorway or even down to the shops into central Reigate.
I will miss this location, however have decided to move to be nearer to family.
