Property description
Ever wanted to be Lord or Lady of the manor? Well now is your chance with this splendid example of a period mansion house. Picture yourself enjoying a well earned rest whilst admiring the uninterrupted panoramic views towards the South Downs, or if you prefer, prepare a meal in your fabulous kitchen area and set the table on a special occasion for your nearest and dearest.
Should you want to welcome guests for the weekend, then the two double bedrooms and the loft room will make everyone feel at home and still offer a feeling of light and space.
This large converted apartment is in a tucked away yet central location, with Lewes town centre only a short walk away. The mainline train station provides direct links to London and Brighton which is handy if a commute to work is required. Being the historic county town of East Sussex, Lewes also boasts a wealth of independent and High Street shops, cafes, restaurants and traditional pubs, making a pleasant evening out.
Situated in the recently formed South Downs National Park it offers easy access for countryside recreational activities, walks along the River Ouse and a selection of popular primary and secondary schools.
What the Owner says:
Having enjoyed living in this apartment for the past five years we have certainly taken advantage of what is on our doorstep. We have created a varied and exciting lifestyle with the countryside close by and a walk into town is handy for everyday essentials. It provides good access to the many events that Lewes town holds throughout the year.
It was the space and period features that first attracted us to this property and we have sympathetically updated it since our arrival. We still plan to stay in Lewes as we love the town so much but we are very confident the new buyer(s) will benefit from this home and its location as much as we have.
