Property description

THE BARN A charming detached two bedroom barn conversion set in the heart of North Norfolk with off road parking, open plan kitchen/diner/sitting room complete with full length windows over looking the Norfolk country side. This barn has been developed by an experienced and respected local developer to a high standard throughout with, underfloor heating, vaulted ceilings, exposed brick work and original timber along with solid oak joinery throughout. Complete with a south facing back garden this barn offers itself as the most idyllic country retreat, second home or as a holiday let.

LOCATION Gimingham is 3 miles west of Mundesley, 4 miles north of the market town of North Walsham and 6 miles east of Cromer. Norwich is approximately 20 miles to the south.

The village of Gimingham is dominated by its large mill pond and the imposing All Saints Church. The nearby coastal village of Mundesley is pretty and unspoilt and has a small high street served by local shops. It also has a medical centre, a library, a post office, a primary school and 3 public houses.

North Walsham has a surprising array of both independent specialist shops and high street named shops and a Thursday market. The coastal town of Cromer is referred to as "The Gem of the North coast" and has a market every Friday. As well as one of Norfolk's most attractive seaside resorts, Cromer is also an important residential, administrative and service centre for the growing population of North Norfolk. A recent regeneration programme has enhanced the town introducing new facilities in and on the seafront. Attractions include its pier, two museums, wide open beaches, spectacular cliffs and its famous pier show.

Norwich is about 40 minutes by car along the A140 and provides a wider variety of shopping, commercial and leisure facilities, offering a unique blend of shops with a wide range of food outlets.

There is a good selection of independent schools in the area including: Beeston Hall, Greshams School and Taverham School

DIRECTIONS

Take the A140 north from Norwich. At Roughton turn right into Thorpe Market Road. Cross the A149 onto Thorpe Road and continue through Southrepps onto Gimingham Road. After Southrepps, take the 3rd left into Hall Road.
