Property description
This timeless family cottage has a deceiving look from the outside as it definitely feels bigger once inside.
The property is located in the village of Yalding which is in the borough of Maidstone in Kent. The village is situated 6 miles South West of Maidstone at a point of where the River Teise and River Beult join the River Medway. The village school is St Peter's and St Paul's Church of England primary which is highly regarded. Yalding railway station lies on the Medway Valley line which links Strood, Maidstone, Yalding, Paddock Wood and Tonbridge with good connections to London. From Paddock Wood you can take a direct train to London and be there in under an hour!
This property is the epitome of a village cottage which will appeal to those seeking a village lifestyle and a character property that reflects its surroundings.
With two local pubs within walking distance you have a choice of hostelries to visit to enjoy a drink or bite to eat with friends; or you may prefer to entertain with your tastefully refitted kitchen with integrated appliances and separate dining area.
The well maintained property really is ready to move into and although oozes character both inside and out, it also has a contemporary feel, which can only be appreciated with an internal viewing.
What the Owner says:
Since moving into my cottage in February 2016, I have spent a lot of time and expense improving the property with a new fitted kitchen, a new gas central heating boiler, new double glazed windows (except the loft room) and new flooring in the lounge. I have also had the cottage rewired and have redecorated.
This really was my dream move to my cottage in the country and I have enjoyed the community spirit of the village with various social events including a farmers market once a month. There are numerous walks and bike rides in the area and the village is well serviced with a post office/general store, two pubs and a railway station.
An unexpected relocation has led to me selling with no onward chain.
