Property description
Utterly charming and far bigger inside than you think from its entrancing exterior. A push through the traditional stable door and your journey begins around this cute cottage. The lounge with its pronounced feature fireplace, original oak beams dating back to the 18th century has plenty of character. A separate kitchen with integrated appliances makes it feel a world away so you can enjoy the latest box office hit on a cosy night in peace. Ascending the staircase brings you to the ambient nest at the top of the home with a spacious landing with loft hatch above. The loft is part boarded so superb for storage. Two double bedrooms with the master benefiting from a large walk in wardrobe gives this cottage far more space and storage than meets the eye. Patcham has a rich history dating back to Saxon times. This home is open-hearted, sophisticated & cultured. Old London Road has an attractive array of houses, ranging from 18th century cottages, to Victorian terraces yet they all seem to sit together in harmony, with the famous Coach House Tea Room, a newsagent, the local Post Office and Co-Op supermarket all to be enjoyed in the heart of the village just a short stroll away. The trendy Miller & Carter steak house will be a superb local. Popular with many commuters & cabin crew due to its brilliant accessibility to Gatwick and Preston Park station.
This delightful home is ideal as a first purchase, buy to let investment or that weekend retreat you’ve always dreamed of.
What the Owner says:
We bought this property as first time buyers and since moving in we got married, had a baby and now looking to move on due to the increasing size of our family. It feels totally unique and has a lovely, cosy feel to it along with a real sense of history. It is deceptively large especially upstairs, the master bedroom with walk-in wardrobe and second bedroom that we used as an office/guest room before turning it into a nursery for our daughter. Patcham village is a lovely place to live as it blends quaint aspects of village community with the perks of being part of the city of Brighton with its superb attractions and facilities. We move on with a heavy heart as its been a magical place to live. We hope the next owners love it as much as we have.
