There are numerous pubs and restaurants (some with live entertainment), with the majority catering for children.
From Paignton Harbour (a 5 - 10 minute walk) you can take a boat trip to nearby Torquay, Brixham or Dartmouth.
Torquay has a continental flavour with its pavement cafes and palm lined seafront. It has something to offer everyone including harbourside shopping parades, excellent theatres, beautiful gardens and a `London Eye` style wheel.
Brixham is a picturesque fishing town with bustling harbour, Breakwater beach and outdoor swimming pool. There is a replica of Sir Francis Drake`s Golden Hind ship and there are pirate days for the children every Thursday in the summer.
